A message from Margie
Dr Margie Warrell
Executive Coach, Women’s Leadership Advocate & Bestselling Author
I’m Margie Warrell and I’m so pleased you’ve found your way to this page. I’m guessing that you, like me, have found yourself tested in whole new ways in recent times. You’re not alone. It’s why I’m so delighted to be hosting my first Live Brave Women’s Weekend since October 2019.
This weekend is for you to step back from the busyness of your life, recharge your spirit, and reset on a future that lights you up and honors the gifts you have to share in the world.
As a mom of four, I know how busy life can get and how easily we can find ourselves going through the motions, yet not living a life that inspires us on the deepest level. It’s why I began running weekends for like-minded women ten years ago. For smart, capable and creative women who don’t want to settle for less than the biggest life they’re capable of living.
My last twenty years working with women from diverse paths across the world has taught me that we women often doubt ourselves too much and back ourselves too little. It’s why I can promise you that if you join me, you’ll not only uncover the blind spots that have been holding you back but find within yourself new courage to create a life that lights you up and elevates others.
There’ll be lots of talking: some by me, some by you, and plenty with each other. You’re going to laugh. A lot! (And you may cry, a little). You’ll also get really present to the valuable lessons you’ve learned up to now (and from this pandemic) and excited about the possibilities ahead.
I don’t have all the answers. However, I’ve learned that when you stop still long enough (not easy for many women), you’ll discover that that the answers you’re looking for are within you.
Like what you need to say no to, what you need to say yes to, and what you need to let go…. often the fears and false beliefs you’ve been buying into about what you can do and what stands in your way.
All of which will take courage. And I know a thing or two about that.
Our weekend together won’t involve ziplining, chanting, or 10-step ‘secret formulas’ to ‘find your bliss’. It will, however, help you dive beneath the shallows to get ‘on purpose’ toward the biggest and bravest life you are called to live.
Armed with a powerful Why, you’ll create your own personal roadmap to step boldly into action before our weekend is even over. But not only that. You will also get to make meaningful connections while learning evidence-based strategies to:
UNCOVER the fears – conscious and unconscious – keeping you stuck
CLARIFY your Why & reimagine the highest vision for your life
RECLAIM the power you’ve surrendered to self-doubt
DEAL with critics & naysayers who pull you down (particularly those closest to you)
EMBRACE your uniqueness, speak with authority and amplify your influence in your work, leadership and life
DESIGN ‘success rituals’ to embed into your everyday life to thrive under pressure and embody grace & grit, feminine & fierce
So whether you want to begin your ‘Third Act’, grow your business, ascend the ladder or move in a wholly new direction, you’ll leave this weekend empowered to bring your bravest self to your biggest future. And who doesn’t need that?!
Is this weekend right for you?
Not sure if the Live Brave & Thrive Weekend is right for you? Fair enough. Let me tell you who it’s for (and who it’s not for… because it’s not for every woman!)
✓ It’s for women who have been putting the needs of others before themselves for so long they need help practicing self-fullness.
✓ It’s for women who don’t want to sit idly listening to dozens of speakers sharing ”tips’ but who want a highly interactive, engaging and transformative experience.
✓ It’s for women who want to dig deeper and get to the heart of what holds them back on the deepest level
✓ It’s for women who’ve been wondering ‘Where to from here?’ but are unsure or overwhelmed at where to begin.
✓ It’s for big thinking women who want to take their career/business or leadership/legacy to the next level but with less fear, more faith; less stress, more joy.
Most of all, it’s for women who don’t want to sell themselves short or settle for less than their highest point of contribution.
Who is not for? This weekend is not for women who are comfortable being comfortable or are just not ready to be challenged. Yet. We hope that’s not you.
Please note: This weekend is not a replacement for therapy but it can supplement it.
“If you want to raise your sights and take more courageous action, Margie is the perfect adrenaline-like shot of inspiration you need. A global thought leader on courage, and wonderful storyteller, Margie will have you laughing all while empowering you with practical strategies to enjoy greater professional success and personal fulfillment.”
Head of Global Search, Johnson & Johnson
Friday 5 November
Welcome and Introduction: We kick off the weekend at 5pm sharp. It’s important that you have arrived before this time as this opening session sets the foundation for the rest of the weekend. (A glass of bubbles will be in order here!)
As you will experience throughout the weekend, Margie will challenge you to both ‘rethink’ your stories that are holding you back and keeping you from taking braver actions.
Dinner:At 7pm we will adjourn for an evening reception… fine wine with plenty of finger food.
Saturday 6 November
For the early risers: At 7am we’ll take a brisk walk (and talk) on the nearby nature trail to wake up your body before breakfast. Rain plan: indoor yoga.
Morning session: We’ll kick off our morning session at 8.45am with an exercise to help you identify your ‘blind spots’ and redefine what success on your terms. This session often produces powerful ‘ah ha’ breakthrough moments.
Time to reignite your passion and reset your compass! You will be guided to reimagine with the highest vision for your life and get beneath the fears that have been holding you back. If you’ve been lacking direction, this will crystallize it and you ‘on purpose’.
Lunch: Great conversations happen over great meals shared… expect plenty of them!
Saturday afternoon:Jen Stanford will lead a special session to help you understand your personality more deeply so you can build stronger relationships and apply EQ principles and tools to resolve conflict and become a more impactful ‘change agent.’ Margie will then wrap the day up (between 3-3.30) with an exercise to integrate all your new insights and ah-ha moments.
You time… You’ll get a few hours downtime before dressing up for our evening soiree!
Saturday evening:Ladies Night Out! Saturday’s dinner is about celebrating you – your ‘flawsomeness’ and the power of sisterhood! So pack whatever makes you feel feminine, fearless and fabulous. We’ll start with a glass of bubbles before a delicious dinner and fun evening of simply celebrating who you are and every experience that’s brought you here!
Sunday 7 November
For the early risers: Back outside for another a brisk walk to laugh about our evening before. Rain plan is indoor yoga.
Morning: We will kick off again at 8.45am to explore where you need to be braver in your relationships. This morning’s session will focus on how you can build stronger, more meaningful and authentic relationships – personally and professionally. We will draw on Jen’s session to explore how to overcome the fears that keep you from having courageous conversations needed to build trust, address conflict and open new doors of opportunity in every realm.
Morning break: This will be short, but long enough to get a group photo!
After morning break you will put pen to paper to map out your plan of action (creating your Live Brave & Thrive Goal Plan!) This is your blueprint… your road map to step boldly into action and deal with the engrained habits that could get in your way staying on course toward thriving in your work, relationships, wellbeing, finances and life.
Lunch: We will break for an early lunch around 11.45am.
Closing session: We will convene at 12.30pm to wrap up the weekend with a power exercise to reinforce your commitment to living a brave life that lights you up.
Homeward bound… When the weekend concludes at 2pm you will leave recharged and excited for the new possibilities for your your life.
But your life won’t be the same. Because you won’t be the same (not quite). You’ll be stronger, lighter (from all the ‘stuff’ you’ve let go) and so much braver!
As past attendees will attest to, Margie will see to it!

“I honestly know I would never have achieved my goals and be loving life if it wasn’t for attending this weekend with Margie. I was tired of not moving forward and wanted to drill down to what was holding me back and stopping me from taking the next step.
I had carried an idea with me for over seven years… to create a range of activewear for curvy women which would suit any activity. I didn’t know how to start or where to start. I drew up my goal plan that Margie gave us and constantly recited my new mantra “Don’t wait till you know everything” – one of the many things Margie said over the weekend.
It took one year from the weekend to the day when my first shipment of #BeKeane activewear arrived at my door and I could not be prouder. I honestly know I would never have achieved my goals and be loving life if it wasn’t for attending this weekend with Margie.
If you want to know what’s holding you back, find your motivation and create a doable plan to achieve your goals, then this is for you. Don’t hesitate. Be brave and book it in!”
